Message I had the same compression problems when I put down 597hp and that is the most power out of a TD05 Z :)My compression was 125-135.#6 had the highest number and #1 had the lowest. How odd :) The engine does have lower compression pistons along with 2mm head gaskets but still a bit low for my liking. However the engine didn't even have 5000 miles when I dynoed it but just like you, it felt very solid. We will see what I put down with the new turbos and will do another compression to compare results. I also had the stupid smoking issue as soon as I got off boost at high rpms but everyone said it was my turbo seals. I now have new turbos and valve seals along with a complete SGP head package and see if the problem still exists on the dyno.

: Since we replaced the short block, no smoke (#6 piston melted).

: Low compression still even on the new engine, but no smoke and it's running solid. Nothing above 140 in any cylinder but that's what it was doing when I put 477 on the ground. I'm just gonna leave it alone until it blows up again ;-)

: Not sure if I'll make NH or not. I'm going to try, but you can't take my title. Once you win, you're done. Can't compete any more, so even if you win it, it won't be against me... but I bet you'd beat me anyway. =)
